Family Nutrition Program
The Family Nutrition Program (FNP) at the University of Florida Cooperative Extension Service, in collaboration with the Florida Department of Children and Families Economic Self-Sufficiency and state and local agencies, provides educational programs in food and nutrition. The goal of the program is to gain practical knowledge and skills required for a healthy diet and lifestyle.
FNP teaches how to improve dietary habits by providing current and accurate nutritional information through education and research. Participation in the Family Nutrition Program's lectures and educational programs helps participants learn more about:

- Nutrient Education
- Understanding Food Labels
- Dietary Disease Prevention
- Food Guide Pyramid/Dietary Guidelines
- Effective Management of Food Resources/Safety
